Do You Offer Different Wedding Ceremony Packages?

Yes, I do!

I offer three distinct packages: De-Luxe, Classic, and Simple. Please take a moment to explore the details and inclusions of each package in the *Ceremonies and Services* section.

Can We Have A “Symbolic Wedding Ceremony”?

Absolutely!

A symbolic wedding ceremony offers a meaningful alternative to traditional or religious weddings. It allows you the freedom to create a celebration that perfectly reflects your unique story and personal values—without being bound by convention. Whether you’re planning a wedding or a vow renewal, the ceremony can be fully customised to include or exclude religious elements, according to your preferences.

Essentially, a symbolic ceremony includes all the meaningful moments of a traditional wedding—without the legal formalities.

Who Might Choose A Symbolic Wedding Ceremony?

Couples seeking a beautiful, personalised wedding ceremony

Those already legally married who wish to celebrate with a meaningful ceremony

Same-sex couples looking for a wedding or blessing ceremony

Couples renewing their wedding vows

Partners in mixed-faith marriages

Individuals who want the freedom to select the location and timing of their ceremony without limitations

Anyone desiring full control over the details and structure of their wedding ceremony, getting away from stereotypical or boring ceremonies.

What Is A “Special Element”?

This is the most exciting part of your ceremony—where we create unforgettable moments that make your day truly unique. My “Special Elements” allow all couples, especially those from diverse cultural backgrounds, to incorporate meaningful touches from their heritage, making the celebration even more personal and memorable. I love to be able to include family members in these elements.

Take a look at the “Special Elements” section to find out more about HandFastings, Unity Ceremonies, and more fun elements like Jumping The Broom and Ring Warmings.

I am happy to explain them in more detail and how they will fit into your ceremony.

When Can We Get Married In Cyprus?

Cyprus is a year-round destination, so you can celebrate your wedding at any time that suits you.

With a Cyprus Celebrant-led ceremony, we have the flexibility to hold your special day almost anywhere—whether it’s a beautiful hotel, charming restaurant, stunning beach, picturesque vineyard, marina, golf course, private villa, ancient abbey, or even in the comfort of your own home.

Simply envision your perfect day, and I’ll be here to bring that vision to life.

How Long Does It Take To Plan A Wedding?

The timeline really depends on you. Some couples like to plan years ahead, securing the perfect date and venue early on. Others prefer a more spontaneous approach, organizing everything within just a few weeks. No matter your timeline, I have experienced wedding planners ready to assist in bringing your vision to life seamlessly.

I also often work with couples looking to elope or those who need to arrange a ceremony quickly for various reasons. Whatever your situation, I’m committed to making your special day truly unforgettable and will do everything I can to accommodate your needs. (Please check national holidays in the country you plan to have your ceremony, as this will affect the availability of venues and suppliers)

Will You Travel To Our Venue?

In Cyprus

Yes. I am happy to travel throughout Cyprus.

Internationally

For international weddings, all costs will be agreed upon before booking your ceremony with me. Please contact me, Cyprus Celebrant at rosie@cypruscelebrant.com

What If You Are Sick On The Day Of Our Ceremony?

While this has never occurred, rest assured, your ceremony will be fully prepared and by me. If I am unable to attend, I will arrange for one of my trusted colleagues to seamlessly step in and deliver the ceremony we created together, ensuring everything proceeds beautifully.

How And When Do You Pay?

1. After Our Initial Meeting

You’ll make your payment once we’ve met and you’ve decided to book my services—whether that’s in person, over Zoom, or via WhatsApp. Following our meeting, I will email you all the relevant details.

2. Deposit to Secure Your Date

To reserve your ceremony date, a 50% booking deposit is required as a retainer. This ensures the date is officially saved for you, giving you peace of mind that I will be there on your special day.

3. Final Balance

The remaining 50% is payable when your ceremony script draft is nearly complete. At this stage, I begin shaping your story with your input and start coordinating with your friends and family to bring everything together.

Wedding Ceremony Rehearsal: Why It Matters

I highly recommend and encourage a rehearsal—that’s why it’s included in my Deluxe Full Ceremony package. The larger your wedding party, the more crucial the rehearsal becomes.

By the time your big day arrives, everyone must know exactly what to do and when to do it. This preparation helps reduce stress and allows you and your loved ones to fully enjoy the celebration.

What If Our Venue Isn’t Available for a Rehearsal?

No worries! If your venue can’t accommodate a rehearsal, we simply need any space where we can envision a “front area” and practice walking down an imaginary aisle and standing in formation. This practice helps bring confidence and flow to your ceremony.

Small Weddings and Rehearsals

For smaller wedding parties, a formal rehearsal might not always be necessary. Regardless of the size of your group, my goal is to help everyone feel calm and comfortable on your wedding day. Even a brief walkthrough, wherever it happens, can make a big difference.

What Are The Steps To Get Legally Married In Cyprus?

Marriage laws vary across different regions of Cyprus. Therefore, I will provide you with detailed information on the legal requirements and procedures based on the area where you plan to hold your wedding.

The first step is to obtain a statutory declaration confirming that you are free to marry. You will also need to present documents such as your passport, birth certificate, divorce certificate (if applicable), and other relevant paperwork.

Many couples I work with choose to complete the legal marriage process in their home country before coming to Cyprus. They visit their local registry office, have a simple 2+2 ceremony to finalize the legalities quickly and easily—sometimes even without informing their families. Once legally married, these couples can then hold their wedding ceremony anywhere they wish in Cyprus.

Can You Help Us Find A Venue And Suppliers For Our Ceremony?

Absolutely!

Let’s have a conversation so I can get to know you and your vision for your perfect day. Based on that, when you book me as your celebrant, I’ll recommend locations that fit both your style and your budget.

I also have a trusted network of wedding planners, restaurants, hotels, and vendors who are ready to collaborate with you and bring your dream wedding to life.

Memorials | Celebration of Life | Funerals

How long does it take to organise a funeral ceremony in Cyprus?

In Cyprus, funeral ceremonies are typically arranged swiftly and usually performed within 3 to 7 days. There are many occasions where families live overseas, and I help to plan the ceremony with them remotely.

Memorial services and celebration of life ceremonies, however, can be held at a later date and location of your choosing. This flexibility allows loved ones to travel and gather for the occasion. When someone passes away abroad or divides their life between two countries, it is common to hold a separate service to commemorate their life, giving friends and family the opportunity to come together in remembrance.

Baby Naming | Proposals | Retirement Ceremonies

Baby Naming and Adoption Ceremonies

These ceremonies offer a joyful and inclusive way to welcome a new member into your family. Often featuring a unity element, they create a meaningful and memorable celebration of new beginnings.

Proposal and Engagement Ceremonies

In many cultures, proposals and engagements are as significant as the wedding itself. These occasions often bring together family and close friends to honor the milestone. A popular tradition during engagement ceremonies is the “ring warming,” where the engagement ring is passed around and warmed by loved ones before being presented.

Retirement Ceremonies

Marking the transition from professional life to retirement, these ceremonies offer a heartfelt way to celebrate a new chapter. It’s an ideal opportunity to bring together friends, family, and colleagues to reflect on your journey so far and share in the excitement of what lies ahead.

Ceremonies for Every Aspect of Life.
